Amanda is the Founder and Principal of GreeNexus Consulting, where she drives sustainable design efforts across various project types including higher education, retail, commercial office, civic, multi-family, and municipal facilities. With a focus on creating a profitable regenerative legacy, Amanda brings an in-depth understanding of architecture and a track record of success in facilitating some of the nation’s most sustainable projects.

Amanda’s leadership fosters a collaborative approach, leveraging the expertise of her team to develop holistic strategies tailored to project goals. Her portfolio includes over 150 LEED certifications, including 11 LEED-Platinum buildings, covering more than 15 million square feet of space. With a career spanning over 12 years since GreeNexus’ inception in 2012, Amanda has been instrumental in shaping sustainable communities and influencing policy changes in Texas and the southern region.

A licensed architect in Texas, Amanda’s contributions extend beyond project execution to leadership roles such as co-chair for the AIA Houston Committee on the Environment (COTE) and COTE regional team leader for the Gulf Coast and Southeast regions. She has also performed third-party verification and played a key role in policy development, including writing Appendix R to the Building Code for the City of Houston. Amanda’s current focus includes Integrative Charettes and Regenerative Design, working closely with project managers to deliver successful and sustainable buildings that inspire clients and communities alike.
