Milena is an experienced Sustainability Project Manager, currently working on several major Green Certifications projects with GreeNexus. Milena has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an MBA from Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. She also is accredited as a LEED AP BD+C, LEED AP ID+C, WELL AP, and SITES AP.
She has helped clients reach their sustainability goals for over 10 years and has successfully led teams towards achieving Green Building certifications in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Perú. Her expertise includes more than 20 LEED projects, 2 WELL projects, and 2 SITES projects, including Cancun’s Airport’s new terminal and KIO Networks Data Center in Spain, both achieving LEED Platinum level. Milena has recently helped 3 manufacturing companies align their portfolios with current Green Material requirements.
In addition to her Green Certification experience, Milena has substantial teaching experience – having taught over 50 different courses and impacting over 1,000 students, she has taught at Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Anahuac, UNAM in Mexico and Econova in Spain and is USGBC faculty. Milena has also participated in different forums as a speaker, including Greenbuild Mexico 2019 where she talked about the implementation of SITES certification outside the US. Milena is fluent in Spanish, English, and German.
